You just don't get it do you?

In that 2 minutes your bookie has also changed the line.

Trying to push an odds service to novice/i.e squares is not going to work.

I think just offering the service those that want to pay will and mass advertising gets responses like this.

Its a tough sell without a Neteller in place. Most of us use fewer books, now.

Is it true that their "up to the minute injury info" is really just from employees reading the local papers like Journeyman said during his meltdown?

ain't that the truth. Now I gotta drive to frikn walmart wait in line for an hour, then fill out some form, and pay fees to make a deposit.

I really hope I quit this shit someday.

i am pretty sure he also said he had to update all the scores too...the way i understood it he had to stay at yahoo scores or something and manually put in all scores

but on a serious note...i remember the days of paying line services close to 1000 bucks a month and also remember them being worth every penny....i only wish we would have had something like this back then

Shifty -

I have a question, and I'm not trying to bust your chops, but I'm just wondering why would you come to a forum where you have 800 posts (which would seem to indicate that you at least kinda like the site) and make a post like this?

It's not like we are trying to scam anybody. We are selling a product that has reliable information and plenty of people find valuable. And if they don't we give them their money back. Also, we are 1/2 the price of other services that don't even offer all of the information that we do.

We all know that this industry has changed. Some of the biggest advertisers have left the market, so we are looking for other ways to replace that revenue.

Even with all of the changes, we have kept theRX at the same level it has always been. We give away over 100k per year in contests, have a great annual bash and much more all for our posters. So I guess it just seems odd for somebody to give us a hard time for trying to improve our business.

and don't forget...there is also a link that you may use for free..(i use it daily) works good for people that may use a local that is not up to date or for someone that books small (and not so smart) players....

If you use locals and bet 200 a play or more...a line service is invaluable...betting over 2 dimes a night or so

all books that book decent size players operate with one of the line services now...donbest linetracker or gjupdate

using a line service if you only bet offshore is pretty much a waste unless you are betting huge dollar amounts and want to see the entire line of book changes at once...

line service subscribers would be made up of mainly books now I would think...considering the state of offshore

Wouldn't just Pinny and maybe CRIS lines be enough to use against a local, unless you are scalping the local ? Presumably these locals are offering stale lines ?

good option with linetracker is the moves box...donbest is worthless anymore...

I also like the date feature on linetracker...seeing yesterdays scores is as easy as clicking a box

Does the RX give this away,or do the advertisers give it away?

I mean does it really come out of the RX's pocket.

It depends on the contest - some are funded by sponsors, some by theRX and some are a joint effort.

But even the ones that are 100% paid for by sponsors would not happen if it were not for the guys here at theRX (usually SportSavant :dancefool) putting everything together.
